Work friend of my Dad was a regular tennis player and would send us a box now and then of tennis balls that had lost most of their fuzz. Our lab loved them and would spend many an hour chewing and chasing :)
We have a little terrier that we adopted that didn’t know how to play with a ball when he first came. We tried to teach him to fetch, but he has invented his own game instead – he will bounce the ball and try to catch it. If someone is in the room, he will bounce it and hit it across the floor for us to pass the ball back to him.

No “bouncing off the walls” jokes. No comments about “breaking the 4th wall.” No witticisms about “Sophie having a ball.” Quality humor only, please.

The slicker the running surface, the more fun she will have.
