Turns out that isn’t true… humans have way better smell than we had previously been given credit for.Dogs are better at sniffing out some things, but we are actually better at sniffing out other things. For example, we can smell an over-ripe banana from across the room, where as a dog can barely smell it at all.
To a dog, smells are interesting. We as humans think good or bad, dogs find smells fascinating because it is how they see the world (we use our eyes for the most part).

For having a more wondrous sense of smell, dogs and cats seem ill-equipped for using it to AVOID stuff that stinks…
