Once he starts walking, he’ll find a second world up on the next level and Mom and Dad will be even busier trying to keep Doug out of harm’s way. Or is it the other way around?
Unfortunately, our 2 year old Lab “learned” to get up on his hind legs. Now nothing on the counters or table is out of reach! The equivalent of “walking” for a dog!
In this comic, Status Quo Is God. Except when Brian introduces a new permanent household pet. Oh, and Doug went from saying lots of syllables to just one.
as I understand it I went straight from sitting up to walking around. according to my mother, one day I was sitting on my blanket in the middle of the living room, watching my siblings walk back and forth (I’m the sevent of eight) around the room and suddenly I got to my and started following my sister around, no walking from piece of furniture to piece of furniture, I just started walking around like I’d been doing it for months.

Don’t worry. If they felt like they had too much free time on their hands, Mom and Dad would just get another baby from Babies-R-Us.

I remember the day I talked my Dad into letting me mow the yard. Not particularly well thought out, that.

Oh, trust me, if anything, they’ll have even MORE to do once Doug starts walking.

Why do I have the feeling when Doug is ready for his first day of kindergarten, he’s still going to be crawling around in diapers in the toon? :)

One thing I have noticed that once babies can walk they want to run!!! And do just that.
