I’d wish for the pantry door to have a secret, invisible doggy door, and all the cans to be self-opening when I asked for it.

Our cat gets into enough trouble without thumbs.

Apes have thumbs and they can get into a good many things. Trouble is, they don’t generally get to live in the house where all the thumb required peanut butter jugs are. Funny how that worked out.

Occasionally, when I see one of our pets sitting at a door and begging for it to be opened, I tell them to hurry up and evolve thumbs and open it themselves.

They don’t seem to appreciate my thoughts on the matter much, though. Don’t know why…

I’d like a sweater like that. But I’d need sauerkraut socks to go with it.

I used to have a cat who helpfully sliced open a dog treat bag and pushed the treats off the counter down to the dog. I came back into the kitchen to find my poor dog looking somewhat overwhelmed by the scattering of treats, but I knew it was not her fault. “Who needs thumbs,” said the cat, “when you have knives at the end of your toes?” She could also open Tupperware, which is more than I could do most of the time.

I just love the ``Clever Claws`` and Annie`s got them tamed, but they just don`t know it yet.
