I purchased the worst dog toy ever! I think it’s a repurposed deep sea fishing pole with a tennis ball and rope attached to the top, and a piece of pipe with one end pinched closed so it can be pounded into the ground. Sophie grabs the ball and pulls hard enough to get the top of the pole parallel to the ground. Good exercise ’til she let the ball go. Over hundreds of iterations, the ball was loose on the rope. It came whizzing right through the screen porch. Lawn darts would be safer.

Points for possession, minus points for style. Pretty much break even at this point.

Last dog standing wins. Unless the human was hurt, then the pain begins.

I always let my dog get it. It is like letting your kids win at Candyland.

I admit, I pulled this a couple times on the family dog, just to see them go sprawling when I suddenly let go.
It’s okay, though, said dog loved it, you know she did.

Just let it go.
