This is funny, I used to have to repair the special toys for our dogs and cats. There were just some that they loved and couldn’t be replaced. My recently deceased wife used to tease me and the dogs because whenever I was sewing them up the dogs would be staring at me and whining. Sadly all of the dogs are gone within the last 2 years (almost) and the toys too.
I have a teddy bear that’s over 80 years old. He’s had several cosmetic surgeries, including new eyes- several, one of which was that cloth paint thing of many years ago, new nose and mouth, and paw pads. The last has to be redone and so do the eyes. His name is, appropriately, Grumpy. My mother had him as a child during the Depression.

Tucked away in a box at the back of the closet I have a stuffed panda that is nearly 60 years old, the head was sewn back on over 50 years ago

Had to repair our dog’s stuffed Hedgehog several times; she loved them and went through 3. Only toy she damaged
