When I volunteered at the local shelter, we had some dogs come in who had never been out of cages before. They were from a puppy mill. They were afraid of grass and gravel, and we had to carry them outside to get them used to being outside and to get used to walking on the ground. they did nothing but cower. It was heartbreaking and made us all very angry with the ones who did this to them.

Oddly enough, the new kid is exactly the sort that will probably “inherit the earth”.

I can’t remember…does Stella ever actually appear on panel during the course of her stay?

The good old game of hide and seek. I use chicken breast lunch meat or the fall back peanut butter to lure a dog out of hiding. Yip yip yip yip yip

I remember a foster dog I had like that. The only way she would come back in the house would be for me to leave the sliding door wide open and move well away from it.We had lots of indoor mosquitoes that year!

It took several years, but the daughter of Walker, Texas Ranger was finally in a situation where it was appropriate to quote “A Streetcar Named Desire”.
