My first word was “$#!t”, but my baby book says “Dada”. My Mom said I used it correctly, but also taught them to watch what they said in front of me and my sister.
Fight for the Forgotten is an actual organization and concerns the Pygmy peoples of Africa. I remember reading about the Pygmies decades ago when I was in grade school. The individual assisting them has written a book; I’ll read it after I’ve finished, “Colbalt Red,” about the deplorable mining conditions of Colbalt in the Congo.

The first words my oldest child said was “Dada did it”. They are 20 years old now and we still have no clue what, exactly, it was that I had done.

I taught my god-daughter her first word and her mother screamed No! It was Booger and she didn’t stop saying it for two days. What satisfaction!

At least it’s not a four letter word, I think. But then I’m not fluent in BAK.

Yesterday on “Jeopardy!” the contestant said her first words were Alex Trebek.
Just kidding. He was third or fourth.
