My dogs are both scared of fireworks and my neighbors (I live in the boonies) are very fond of them and set them off every month. So my dogs go under the desk and shake and I cuddle them. (Yes I have thought of the thundershirt, but don’t think it would help.) This 4th is gonna be ruff. Staying home with my boys (dogs).
I live in wild fire country. Ash from a fire west of my home is drifting into my neighborhood. Fire works are banned in most areas but we have the usual number of drunk/stoner idiots. Fingers are crossed for the fourth. BTW, Remember our Vets! For a real rouser of a story, Goggle “Taffy Three” and the “Battle off Samar”.
We could be neighbors, dzw, although not much ash is falling today – winds have shifted. Almost all towns and counties have banned the selling/possession of fireworks due to the droughts and dying forests but the trouble is that many of the pueblos still sell them, as does one village. It might be illegal for folks to take them off of the pueblo but that doesn’t stop them.
