Pitties shiver the whole time they’re getting a bath.

I can relate to this one. I don’t want to go to bed at night and then I don’t want to get up in the morning.

The subtle change in facial expression between panels 2 and 3 is great. :)

At least it looks like the water is warm in the first couple of panels. Never understood why people would bathe their dog (full scrub-down, not just hosing off the mud) with cold water straight from the hose.

A neighbor made spring and autumn outdoor bath time fun for his dog. Heated pots of water on the fire pit, mixed a bit of cold and made sure the temperature was just right for his Giant Schnauzer: summer had less warm water. The dog was not too sure at first, but whenever he saw the clam pots on the fire, he’d get excited, run around yapping, then wait quietly and get in the tin tub when called. He knew it was bath time and deep massage. Never seen a dog with a smile on his face and eyes rolled back in “aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh…..”

It was a problem when he had to board the dog for a week and they tried to give him a bath straight from the hose. Not a happy puppy, in many ways. According to the kennel folk, you’d thought they took away his favorite toys. from his howling.

    R.I.P. Shadow – such a good dog.

Neither of my dogs like water unless they go in the creek – if there is soap involved – they are not happy. Although my GSD mix loves getting towel dried after… that is massage time.

When it is time to bathe our 80 lb pit mix, I have to carry him to the tub, and he resists my assistance. I have no need for additional exercise.

Had my pitty trained at one point that dog park day was bath day: he would get home and just walk to the bathroom!
