I will, right after I’m done with the sprayer full of ’Weed-B-Gon".

why is it that the plants I love and nurture fade and the weeds I try to kill come right back. Now I just try to keep the weeds from completely taking over.

A plants will to live is amazing……even if it means growing through concrete.

Several years ago, a neighbor recently transplanted from the Bronx to New Mexico, walked over to me gingerly carrying a weed. it had spikes all along its stems and even along the underside of its leaves. She wanted to know what in heaven’s name it was! I glanced at it and replied that it was just a typical New Mexico weed (it was a type of thistle, actually) and that anything that survived ‘out here’ in the wilderness had to be tough to survive! She paled and then asked if it could be killed? I informed her that it could, indeed, be killed; it was just that what could kill it could also kill her (which was ‘technically’ correct, but ‘somewhat’ misleading). She dropped the weed and hurried back inside, and I didn’t see any of her family in the backyard for days (long story, short- my wife made me go over and apologize after she found out what I’d said). It was a good thing I did because that morning her brother saw a Horned Lizard in their front yard and the totally-urban Bronx family was convinced they’d moved to Hell!
