We have had an age where life was only in the sea, an age dominated by plants, an age dominated by lizards, and an age dominated by mammals. Whose turn is it next? The insects, as predicted in the Hellstrom Chronicles 45 years ago?
Pit bulls are dogs. Dogs are Canis lupus familiaris, a subspecies of wolves. If you look up ‘vicious killer’, you’ll see pix of wolves… somewhat unfairly. Wolves aren’t even the most vicious canids, that’d be painted wolves, a.k.a. African hunting dogs, Lycaon pictus. L. pictus hunts mostly the same prey that lions do, but where the average pride of lions has about 5 or 6 girls who do most of the hunting and are successful roughly 30% (40%, max) of the time plus one or two guys who are mostly lazy no-nothings and have successful hunts 10-15% of the time, L. pictus has packs of ten to (in the past) 60 or even 70, roughly even numbers of girls and guys, everyone hunts, and they are successful 70% (90%, max, the bigger the pack, the greater the chances of success because they swarm their targets) of the time. Small L. pictus packs sometimes have their kills raided by lions; large L. pictus packs run the kitties out of their territory. Pit bulls are just cute lovable puppies next to canids whose extremely vicious hunting methods are a large part of the reason that their hunts are so successful.

Probably an asteroid. Again. Humans have the knowledge to prevent it (probably), but we haven’t prepared for it.

Sigh, Bullies aren’t killers, the humans who train them to be. are! The Bullie I know is deathly afraid of the cat next door!
