In many of not most cases using the UNSUBSCRIBE link in spam mail just puts you on a spam mailing list as a validated number and/or address, then shared or more likely sold to others.

Never unsubscribe to spam. Just dispose of (or if using email like Yahoo click on the “MARK AS SPAM” link).

Sigh!

I’ve tried unsubscribing from spam emails so many times, and they just keep sending them anyways.
