President Nixon (on TV): And lastly, my fellow countrymen, a few words regarding my forthcoming trip to China... It has not yet been determined how long my visit will be, but whatever its duration, I can assue you it is a step towards building a lasting world peace. I know it must make you sad to see your President embark on a perilous voyage. But I have some news which should cheer you up. I'm leaving Mr. Agnew in charge of the country.
By later standards, the last panel would have Mike looking at us instead of the TV.
