Rick: I tell you, kid, if that seminar's any sign, we're in a serious cultural depression! Joanie: Not according to "Time," Rick. Didn't you see their national mood check last week? Rick: No! How's our national mood? Joanie: Well, in the west, it's "cautious optimism," the midwest, "quiet expectancy," the south, a "show-me" mood, and in the north, "turning inward." Rick: And the country as a whole? Joanie: "Hopeful, sort of." Rick: Must have been a slow week... Joanie: No, no- they backed it up with hard facts!
