Voice: Let this closed hearin' of the House Ethics Committee come to order! Don't we need a witness first? Well, I thought we might practice before she got here. And when did you first meet the Congressman, Miss Ling? It was the night before the vote on the military assistance bill, was it not? Woman: Yes, that's right, sir. Tongsun Park introduced us at a party that he gave at the George Town club in honor of several members of Congress. But it wasn't ugly, it wasn't at all like you're making it sound! I mean, it's not like he was married or anything!! And, really, it was no big deal. We just had dinner, a few drinks, you know, the usual sort of Georgetown get-together... Voice: And after that? Woman: Well (sigh)... after that... I guess the rest of the evening was spent... uh... Voice: Influecing his vote. Woman: Yes, and he was wonderful! He... he crossed party lines for me!
