Honey: Hello, Sal's Pizza? Do you have Chinese food? Henry Kissinger: You wanted to see me, Ms. Huan? Honey: Yes, Professor Kissinger, I have a problem. I thought you might be able to counsel me... Kissinger: Perhaps. Is your problem geo-political? Honey: Yes, sir. It's about Cambodia. I've been re-evaluating my country's past support of the Pol Pot regime. Kissinger: To what end, Ms. Huan? Honey: I don't know exactly, sir. But now that the full truth about the genocide is out, I can't help but feel great shame over China's role. Kissinger: Shame? Ms. Huan, as repelled as I am by Maoist doctrine, I don't see how China had any other choice! Without her client-states, how is she to contain the threat of Soviet hegemony? It's a test of national will, Ms. Huan! Look at me - to mee the same threat, I urged Nixon to invade Cambodia, which eventually led up to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians! Honey: You did? Kissinger: Well, of course! But you don't see me moping around! Honey: That's easy for you to say, sir - you've got your Peace Prize to fall back on.
