Duke: Janata, why the hell would you want to stick a liberal ticker into a sick conservative? Janata: Well, social engineering has always been a passion of mine, Duke. I love the idea of taking two ideologies, one of them philosophically anemic, the other morally bereft, and by fusing them together. Create a whole new order of political animal. What I hope to get is a compassionate pragmatist, a man who operates from a hybrid sensibility of enlightened self-interest. Duke: What if you just get a bigot who likes brie? Janata: I'll pull the plug. I take pride in my work.
