Teacher: Uh-oh. I've forgotten why I went into teaching. Mr. Tuddle: Mr. Calvert? Bill and Gina Tuddle. We're here about the "F" you gave our son in history. Calvert: Come in! Come in, Mr. and Mrs. Tuddle. Mr. Tuddle: We don't understand this grade. We've never had any grade problems with Ted before! Calvert: How do you mean? What about all the "C's" he's gotten? Mr. Tuddle: What's wrong with "C's"? "C's" were good enough for me when I was a kid! Calvert: Is that all you want for your son? "Good enough"? Is that why you've never come to a parent-teacher conference before? Mr. Tuddle: But Ted's never had an "F" before. Calvert: he didn't get an "F" this time either. He got another "C". I was just trying to shake you out of your complacency, to get you involved. Mr. Tuddle: What a sleazy trick. Mrs. Tuddle: You horrid man! We already took the TV out of Ted's room!
