Teen #1: But I hear it's addictive... Teen #2: No way, Jose! I can give it up whenever I feel like it! Mr. Butts: (A new generation! It brings tears to your eyes! Tears!) Hey, teens! Recognize this scene? Catching a smoke behind the schoolhouse? A pretty important part of growing up cool in the U.S.A., right? Well, no longer! American kids, once the coolest in the world, are quickly losing ground! Why? Because anti-smoking propaganda has taken it's toll! Tragically, the percentage of American smokers keeps falling! And what are the tobacco companies doing in response? They're thinking global! That's right - even as you read this, untold billions of American cigarettes are headed towards new markets in the Third World! And studies show that if current trends continue, by the year 2000, Third World kids will become cooler than American kids! Can this catastrophe be averted? Only if you pitch in! So light up, kids! Help keep America's teens number one in cool!
