(Voiceover from TV): Walden - the only college with talent-blind admissions! Alex: Talent-blind? They must get really interesting students! (Voiceover from TV): So come to Walden College - a decent education at a negotiable price! Alex: Wow... Walden sure sounds neato! I'll be it's really hard to get into! Mike: Well, probably not for you, Alex. You'd be a legacy. Alex: I know, poppy, and that's why I could never go! Mike: What do you mean, babe? Alex: I'd always be standing in your shadow. Anything I accomplished would pale in comparison. I'd always be "Mike Doonesbury's daughter." I need to go someplace where I'd have my own identity, even if I have to trade down in prestige. Somplace like Stanford or Harvard. Mike: I understand, honey. Alex: Well, see, that's why you're amazing, poppy! A lot of fathers would be hurt!
