Mike: You know, this might not be such a crazy idea... except that Lars thought of it. Trent, Lars thinks we should fast-track a shopbot. How close are we on that? Trent: Well, we've got a prototype, man. Mike: Run it for me, okay? Trent: Okay. What do you want to buy? Mike: How about a gallon of milk? Trent: Milk, fine. I enter "milk", click on "shop", and it goes to grocery vendors to find you the best deal. Mike: Then why is it searching the L.L. Bean site? Trent: Well, that's one of the bugs we're working on, man... sometimes on a search, the bot will stop to window-shop...oops... Mike: Oops? Trent: It also impulse-buys. You'll be getting a set of luggage with your milk.
