Hormones screaming. Good thing Leo has that inner peace that’ll make her know she’s the only one for him.

You’d think that GT would wait until after the birth of the children before revving up the divorced single mom arc. Now it’s starting to look like the marriage has all the shelf-life of a LardAssian wedding.

They’ll be fine. It’s just pregnancy hormones. Toggle will talk her down. May take a week of strips to work it out, but they are too strong a couple for this to be anything more than a fit like food cravings. It’ll pass

Life is too short to have to deal with false accusations at the drop of a hat. Let’s hope she works this out and appreciates what she’s got in Toggle.

I think I’ll follow leftwingpatriot’s example, though basically because Trudeau’s inability to criticise Obama means that this strip is headed down the drain as long as the Nobel Peace Prizident stays in office.

Yeah, that’s just one more hysterical, female thing. There are no jealous, possessive, abusive men. I suspect that the male jealousy myth was started around 4000 B.C.by irresponsible wandering bards.

Not too sure I understand where this is going either. Doonsebury / Trudeau aficionados are the product of the free love, open marriage, no marriage, hookup, genderless marriage, and other anti-traditional activities generation. What could possibly go wrong with a casual in house hookup that would threaten a progressive relationship?

Seems to me that while Alex is the product of a classic ‘60s/’70s hookup (although we didn’t call it that then), she’s grown up with different values of her own, and has chosen marriage and monogamy. A lot of us boomers who enthusiastically embraced the free-love concept came to see things differently, and have raised our kids with the hope that they would do a better job. Mike seems to me to have taken that path, and while his wife is younger, she’s settled and sensible, and has been a great influence for Alex.

Jealousy? Alex? Who would have thunk it?

Considering this development comes on a Friday rather than a Monday, I expect it’ll be resolved as quickly as it arose. (But yeah, Trudeau laid the groundwork for this early on. I think I might be able to challenge LWP for the bragging rights, but I’m not inclined to go back and look.)

A pregnant woman gets that way. Lets hope Toggle understands that. The next few months can be rough.

Not pregnancy, not divorce arc, just the immature, selfish Alex we know and dislike reemerging. I knew her newfound adulthood would not last long. I keep wondering how Trudeau’s kids turned out, sine he doesn’t seem to be able to create any young adult characters who are actually…adult. Well, except for Toggle and Drew.
