Sometimes I wonder what comic strip characters’ voices are supposed to sound like.

Is that weird?

We all know those words came back to haunt him.

Don’t know who’s voice it would sound like, but it would be gratingly smug and smarmy... Hey, Chris!

… or, heaven forbid, Alex will still be in labor.

No new strips until after Labor Day? Well, I guess it’s better than the 18 month vacation Garry took back in the 80’s.

I think that if the strip were to be animated, I’d like the voices done by the Robot Chicken crew… they seem to have ‘perfect pitch’ as far as voicing their characters.

You know, I have no problem if Trudeau wants some summer vacation time but I would much prefer reruns of cartoons, maybe, from the 70s, 80s and, maybe, early 90s rather than encores of the remarkably tiresome Jeff character and his poorly constructed friend.

I thought Trudeau’s working on a spin off with Alex, Leo and the twins at the center.

Hey, do not besmirch Tarzan. He had a good heart, and is relatively neurosis fee. More than one can say for Tony Stark, Roland Hedley, et al.

I like Bali-Hai, but only the original cast recording.

Trudeau’s getting to be of a certain age, he wants to wind down. Just be thankful that he’s not selling the strip to some younger hack, as so often happens with successful comics. Most newspapers just drop the strip when Trudeau’s absent, but gocomics apparently can’t live with that because they need a strip to hang advertisements on. Now do you guys understand?

Is it witty yet for the regulars to start pretending they don’t know we’re in reruns here? I’m asking for a friend.

Hadda be late – family here is as dramatic as the strips. Anyhow, it’d be interesting to have Jeff sound like Henry Aldrich – any really old-timers remember him from the ’40’s?

Sure, George, Trudeau is just slacking off – if you consider doing an online comedy show in his off time “winding down”.
