I’m trying to work out how big a coincidence this really is. Duke doesn’t even know which hemisphere he’s on, and right away he’s running into… the husband of the employer of someone who used to be in a commune with his nephew?

Look Thadius, it’s a blue-crested cuckoo. An ornery species.

First a submachine gun and now a pistol. How did Duke acquire these weapons? Did he store them in the life raft as his ship sank? Did he find them on the island? Duke is a man of many mysteries.
