Jimmy Carter lusted in his heart, as did Mike. Is that adultery?

Uh oh. Someone jumped to an erroneous conclusion. Of course, men sometimes do that too.

If Mike had been a similarly vain and inconsiderate husband, would anyone be judging J.J. if she were tempted to stray?

Zen question of the day: Do children enjoy childhood as much as adults enjoy adultery?

Fascinating article on the BBC web site today by Brandon Amborsino: “The Invention of Heterosexuality” which begins:“The 1901 Dorland’s Medical Dictionary defined heterosexuality as an “abnormal or perverted appetite toward the opposite sex.” More than two decades later, in 1923, Merriam Webster’s dictionary similarly defined it as “morbid sexual passion for one of the opposite sex.” It wasn’t until 1934 that heterosexuality was graced with the meaning we’re familiar with today: “manifestation of sexual passion for one of the opposite sex; normal sexuality.””http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20170315-the-invention-of-heterosexuality
