Vaping didn’t have enough time to make a huge lobby and buy enough politicians.

Well between the vaping explosions/fires and the number of deaths easily attributed to vaping, the evidence quickly mounted and is hard to dispute… especially since we know how honest nicotine peddlers are…

Nicotine machines much stronger dosage, and more addictive.

At $10 a pack, cigarettes are 98% pure tax.

On a very personal note. I’m sitting here with a fresh trio of incisions in my right side where 9 days ago a skilled surgeon removed the upper lobe of my lung. I’m still processing that. Nobody protected me as a child who had to live in toxic environment, nobody. When my second hand addiction became to strong to bare at about age 11, I would buy cigarettes at the store. Nobody stopped me, nobody cared. For Gods sake somebody please protect the children.

For those not living in the US, Juul is just a brand of e-cigarette, but one that is compact enough, and looks enough like a flash drive when charging, to be inconspicuous when students are in class.

Apparently because e-cigarette vapour is less intense than cigarette smoke, people inhale it more deeply so it does more harm. When I was little, maybe 40 years ago, people said the same about cigarettes – people inhale more than with cigars or pipes so they’d kill you. Maybe people should just go back to Sherlock Holmes style pipes, or something even more complicated, so it’s too much hassle to use it often. (As a non-[active-]smoker, I also prefer the smell.)

Ha. My dad was a WW2 vet. I was just reflecting back on some of the things that he used to say were issued to the soldiers on a regular basis during his time in the military. Coca-cola, cigarettes, beer. He didn’t have much $ and liked to play cards so he would save up those items to trade off when he would lose. I’m assuming that is all a thing of the past.

Grew up with parents that smoked, what a miserable time anytime we we t any where in the car. My dad quit but mom still smokes with her COPD and oxygen.

I can barely stand to be in her house.

Vaping is “a safer addiction than smoking”? Exactly how can we confirm this in such a short time? I even heard a prominent politician claim vaping has saved millions of lives (sigh; roll eyes).

I would like to personally thank Garry Trudeau for his long running anti-smoking campaign. Mr. Trudeau, you help me quit years ago and instilled in me a sense that I should guard my health proactively. It is because of you and people like you that my cancer was discovered and treated before it could spread. I am forever grateful.

Here’s the thing. Vaping has killed some people. Maybe even hundreds of people. Meanwhile, regular tobacco smoking still kills 500,000 Americans every year. So why isn’t everybody going after tobacco companies?
