in G.B.’s entire universe..i think only JJ and Jeremy are utterly without redeeming qualities..(duke AND earl crack me up..jj and jeremy..never fail to disappoint.)

Ok, I know he cared for Lacey in life, but right now? Jeremy is acting like a real WORD REDACTED right now. I get his viewpoint: Lacey was senile and is giving her inheritance to a random homeless woman she met, confusing her for a sister she never had. It’s worrisome on the surface, sure, but Alice never took advantage of Lacey and at the end of the day what Lacey decides to do with her leftovers is HER decision. Jeremy right now is coming off as a greedy punk (though I don’t think he is. Just an idiot). Rant over.

Will someone give Jeremy a smack!

I have often been disapointed in what people do, especially family, when money and property after a death, is involved.

If Jeremy doesn’t shut up,Lacey might decide not to stay dead.

Lots of bad stuff about Jeremy above but haven’t seen much about the fact that Lacey left her estate to someone she mistook in her dementia as her sister Pearl. Not that Alice is a bad person but she seems quite content being poor and homeless (and probably mentally ill herself).

As we discussed before, getting the will thrown out won’t give the money to Jeremy. In fact he’d lose the 10k in there for him. There’s either an older will or she will be intestate, neither of which is likely to be his benefit.

If Trudeau wanted readers to dislike Jeremy, he IMHO would be making more of an effort than this.

It’s one thing to say that Lacey called Alice “Pearl.” To say that Lacey knew Alice as “Pearl” implies that Lacey didn’t actually know Alice at all and that Alice knows that . At least Alice is being upfront about that.

Jeremy is an elderly man with no home and no money, who is unable to support himself. He sincerely loved Lacey and did take care of her under trying circumstances. Just because he appears to also be a weasel doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve compassion, or at least some understanding.

Not even 1/100,000th as much as you, Jeremy.
