Never been to college (I know it shows, but I did OK) Why is a “frat” so important?

In some “Ivy League” schools, frats may enable life-long connections to aid in business, etc. But I went to a smaller college and decided their frats only meant more obligations on campus. I decided I didn’t need that and everything turned out fine in later years. You accomplish in life whatever you are willing to devote effort to.

There is a reason not to pledge and join. Academics usually suffer because if it.

You write about a Greek house, you will probably never get into one. Unless you drink the koolaid and make them look good. You know, sort of like hollywood

Where I went, most of the houses held charity benefit events. It was supposed to be good for relations with the town. Experience in fund raising probably is helpful on a resumé for those who want to work in business or politics, or nonprofits.

My fraternity was the pothead fraternity. We went independent and co-ed and called ourselves The Commonwealth. Then we got thrown out by the national organization in my sophomore year.
