I guess we’re lucky that our understanding and acceptance is evolving. Too slowly, but evolving.

Understanding and acceptance are evolving, true. However, opposition and rejection are not only not evolving, they’re devolving into adamantine doctrine and increasing violence, stoked by one of the two major political parties in this nation.

You can have a same-sex marriage wherever on earth you like; whether the local government will legally recognize the union is a separate, and rather meaningless, question.
