Mike has gone from feeling he is in the presence of evil to being in the presence of death.

My nephew worked, with stock options, in a small web company. When it got bought out he suddenly had the time & money to become a jet pilot. Now he travels the world in a medi-vac Lear jet.

Hold out for a LOT of money Mike, do NOT sign any non-compete agreement. If they tell you that you can’t have the one without the other, shake his hand, tell him you’ll see him in a year or so and you may have an interesting offer for him. . . then smile and walk away. Sometimes you need BIG BRASS ones.

Donald Trump’s son testifies and effectively says “I don’t know nothing”.

We’ve all known THAT for years!

I always thought this particular arc was a bit apocryphal until it happened to a young friend of mine, who had a small internet company that M.S. considered a threat.

Well, if Microsoft buys you out for $200 million or so, that’s not such a bad ending.

History repeats itself. Microsoft only recently got approval for its $70 billion buyout of gaming conglomerate Activision-Blizzard-King, in what’s probably an effort to support its XBox console line- which its own head has admitted has been handled poorly for years.

    .

Why innovate when you can just buy up people who know how, suck them dry and discard them?

Speaking of selling off your primary asset, has anybody heard whether Larry Page and Sergei Brin are living tragically these days?
