Today is December 7. On this day, 83 years ago, the US Navel Fleet in Pearl Harbor was attacked by imperial Japanese forces, drawing our nation into WWII. Our side won that war, thanks in part to the great leadership of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. If, God forbid, we were pulled again into active combat of the scale of that one (or greater), do you think Trump would be an effective Commander-in-Chief? I certainly don’t!!
Not all all impressions are created equal. The members of the evil Traitor Trump cult didn’t mind his 34 felony convictions, nor that he is an imbecile who is sundowning.
We are a nation at war—not with bombs and bullets, but with economic policies that threaten to dismantle the very fabric of our society. This is a war of tariffs and trade, of tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy, and of misguided alliances that undermine our global standing.
President trump has aligned the United States with one of its historical adversaries, Russia, while inviting foreign investors like Elon Musk to influence government spending. Their proposed “solutions” include slashing social services and education under the guise of shrinking government. But make no mistake—these cuts won’t streamline our nation; they will devastate millions of Americans who rely on these essential programs. Meanwhile, billionaires enjoy unprecedented tax breaks, widening the gap between the haves and the have-nots.
Then there’s the illusion that tariffs are a silver bullet for our economic woes. When former President trump proclaimed, “Tariffs will solve everything,” many misunderstood how these taxes actually work. Tariffs don’t make foreign nations pay; they make us pay. Prices on everyday goods—fruits, vegetables, cars—skyrocket as costs are passed on to consumers.
Consider Mexico, which supplies over half of our fruits and vegetables and key components for our automobiles. Tariffs on Mexican goods don’t just hurt Mexico; retaliatory tariffs on U.S. exports hurt American farmers and manufacturers. A full-blown trade war with Mexico or China would ripple across our economy, raising costs and killing jobs.
And what of China, our largest trading partner? They don’t need a conventional war when we willingly fuel their economy. We import their electronics, televisions, and smartphones while Taiwan supplies critical components like semiconductors.
A war fought with tariffs and trade barriers won’t strengthen us—it will weaken our economy and leave American families paying the price. It’s time to rethink our strategy before this silent war becomes a full-blown crisis.
