Maybe Flush is very brainy. I think the physicists are saying that all of matter and energy boils down to fields lately. Especially now that they’ve found the Higgs field.
Actually, it’s an interesting question. I’ve never seen a goldfish bump into the walls. And they have really tiny brains, so they aren’t doing any thinking. Maybe the visual distortion is what does it, but I’m wondering if it might be something else. Maybe back-pressure from the water as they get close or something.
It’s times like this I wish I had a science lab at my disposal to run some tests to try and figure this out. (Yeah, I probably could just ask Google, but it would be fun to actually do the science.)
