We used to have a golden retriever like that, before too long we were throwing a disc about the size of a 45 record, (7 inch diameter), then the size of a CD. We lived near a creek at the time, I would throw it in the water, he would jump in and retrieve it.

It’s pretty impressive to do that to a Frisbee. PE plastic can take quite a lot of abuse before it gets that shredded.
