When I’m walking down the street and feel I need to rest, I just pull my iPod. Don’t even have to turn it on, just kind of move my finger over it in a texting manner. And if I want to talk to myself I just hold it up to my ear and nobody pays me no never mind.
In New Orleans, we had a man in our neighborhood who was always talking to himself. Suddenly he had a cell phone ( we think someone gave him the old one when they upgraded & we’re sure it wasn’t active., but he didn’t look crazy anymore. At least to new comers. And that was 16 years ago.

It’s the new movement, embracing our geezerhood (or is that geerzerness?)

I don’t need to look at my phone. I wait until it rings.
