I’d use another animal to describe Paterno—something in the rodent family, I think. The man put personal friendship above what was right, and that’s just unforgivable.
Nice spin on the truth, Eddie. A good try, maybe you can believe it, you’ve had a lot of practice believing delusions. Most of us care about facts, and he did NOT go to the authorities. The police probably would have done something.
Well, you being a devout Catholic and allegedly celibate does explain why you would defend someone that did not do what is right when it comes to pedophiles; more sickening is that you have one (of many) in your midst just like Paterno whom you and your sick kind kisses his foot, and that is your inglorious Pope who thought nothing of covering up his friends crimes. Until the Church cleans out its vermin nests of pedophile priest, bishops, cardinals, and this Pope you and your kind would be far better off just to stay secluded in your little dens of iniquity and out of contact with human kind.
Oh, so a closed administration makes it right? Hmmm…NO, wrong is wrong, I spent 13 yrs with a “closed” administration and left in part because I did do what was right. Whether it is an institution of higher learning, government agencies, or Churches, they need…they must all answer to the same drummer if we are to maintain any perceived form of equal justice for all in America.
And while those priests were molesting those kids, the pastors and bishops who were in a position to throw them out of the priesthood chose to cover the whole thing up instead. When people found out ,they were rightfully raked over the coals. So why exactly should we treat Paterno differently for doing precisely the same thing?

And the authorities took over a decade to do something? Feh. Here’s hoping the worms enjoy Paterno’s rotting carcass.
