I think the Wilfs (the family that owns the Vikings) were more upset about his outspoken comments about owners during the lockout. Because he’s a great punter and special teams player, they weren’t going to dump him until the opportunity arose. It did in round six of this year’s draft.
Kluwe expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play and is moving on. Some other team will probably pick him up.

For those who don’t know, Chris Kluwe was allegedly cut from the Minnesota Vikings because of his very outspoken support for gay marriage.

True, Kluwe handled it well. In defense of the Wilfs, Kluwe was lacking in distance and accuracy last season.
