Required majors for teachers: Phys Ed, Theater, or Psychology. Bring back corporal punishment, fear, ridicule and intimidation. That will teach dem punks their multiplication tables.Suspension has been shown not to work. Public humiliation does. Ridicule can be almost as effective as beatings.
But seriously folk.
If your child is in a system where the worst educator is rewarded as well as the best, you have to wonder. I realize the NEA gives a lot of money to a certain political party, but why do they have such a strangle hold over our government? Wouldn’t you like to hear, “Mr Smith, in honor of your fine work with children, we award you Teacher of the Year. Here is a check for $1000 and your pay will rise 10%” Why does the union oppose merit pay?
