I always liked this strip and the flying McCoys but I think I’m dropping it off my list too. Glenn was it worth losing your following to do a week long commercial for a movie?
I’m close to giving up on The Duplex too. It was funny, but recently it’s just been an ad for some movie. I don’t know if McCoy’s getting paid or what, I presume so. Whatever the arrangement, it’s not funny any more.
I must have a strange sense of humor. I dont like Steve Carey, but the Minions crack me up. Yes even in a comic strip. They would be a welcome addition, IMO, but not a daily addition.
Hey all, just a heads up on why you’re seeing these little minions this week… Glenn McCoy contributed to the creative story lines for the movie,Despicable Me. He’s a busy man.

He was missing a brick or two.The neighborhood was putting up Christmas lights one year. His string was too long.He asked my hubbie if he thought they would still work after he cut the string.Hub’s answer – Only if you cut them while they are plugged in.
If Mr MCoy contributed to the storyline, let him bask in the results. For those who are leaving, he’s got big bucks coming in, I got a feeling he doesn’t really need you.
Thank you GoComics for helping us figure out this issue.
I’m enjoying the series.I would feel differently if I thought this was a product placement, but I have trouble believing that part of the blockbuster marketing strategy was to buy product placement in Glenn’s strip.BTW: Here’s his credit in IMDB for working on the original movie.

The description needs updating. Where is Gina? Now the strip is about the minions. I don’t like it. Thinking about deleting the strip from my list.

This comic has been a waste of time for 2 weeks now, when is it going to stop?
Davepostmp over 11 years ago
It’s stopping right now. Good-bye.

What is REALLY sad is that the Minions are funny as hell in the movies. This medium does them no favor, nor is McCoy using them in a comical manner.

So this is where it goes the advertising money to promote these movies. As long as the movie were in theaters, these “new” characters will go.
