I once started teaching my dog how to do this very thing. I wised up pretty quick once I realized that while as a puppy it was kinda cute for it to try and open the refrigerator, A full sized German shepherd knowing how to get in and rummage around might not be the smartest plan. Still, She figured out all on her own how to open the cupboard that held the treats, grab one and go into the other room to eat it before coming back to get another. Not smart enough not to get caught after about the 4th or 5th when I started to wonder why she was pacing from room to room though. I’ve had many dogs in my life and she was by far the smartest.
