I was surprised to find out how many people I work with don’t believe this is a real thing. My local McD’s has order kiosks where you have to input your own order and pay and then I find out they, along with all of their competitors, are investing heavily in robotic food prep and assemblers with the goal of eliminating jobs for teenagers and retirees. While I am not against technology and innovation per se, I think we need to be careful not to modernize ourselves out of existence. It is truly a sad little world we are creating for ourselves.

The only way to get it your way is to cook it yourself at home.

Too late. All the robots have formed a union and can’t be fired.

“And what happened to the pickle slicer?” “Well, she got fired, too.” (Not sure if I can post the rest of the joke here.)
