He looked at it, saw the helmet and sunglasses and said “Why didn’t you tell me that you’re a cop too? You can go.”

I got my driver’s license renewed the day California reopened its DMV offices. My license photo looks like a broiled lobster – out of practice, I guess. (I am not a lobster, broiled or otherwise). Maybe it’s tradition. My previous l license photo came out looking like “Miss Marple” from the movies. I’m male.

The last ID photo mom had taken was so bad even she laughed at it!
The guys taking the photo apologized for it.
Mom’s hair wasn’t gray, it was white. They stood her in front of a white background. (Regulations.)
In the postage sized photo all you could see was mom’s face. That’s it. Her hair and the background blended perfectly.
