My Dad used to wrap potatoes in tinfoil and put them on the engine before we went on a trip and then for a picnic lunch we had sandwiches and baked potatoes. They were pretty good.
Someone used to make a box that bolted onto the bumper, with a pipe that fit over the exhaust, and the hot gasses would circulate through a radiator, to cook food while you drove.
I’ve always wondered just how many of them were sold.
OK someone help me develop this —> A glovebox food warmer. (it needs to open wide enough for a pizza.) Why must I suffer rushing into the house, every time I go to the drive through,

We used to warm up lunches on a truck’s radiator/engine while working out in the middle of nowhere.

An hour? The motor should get hot enough to cook the burger in about 10 min!

Back in my Army days, I tried heating a can of breakfast sausages on my Jeep’s manifold. Most of the grease was melted so I gave it an OK.
