    May I tell you how well you captured that tiny twitching movement when she seems to realise she’s seeing something awful and involuntarily reaches for her throat? And how her eyes seem to go wide at that? I just will. You may not have intended this effect at all, but it’s great!… Er… no offense meant. You probably did intend it.

    No offense taken. I intended Holly’s reaction. :-)

    Hey Aaron, I think you’ve just told us something. Since you’ve given her a name, we realize that she’s not just a waitress in the restaurant. She’s due to play a much more important part in this story.

    Not only is this a great strip but all the comments about it are mostly nice and pleasant to read. This is a real change from the usual comments section that usually features one or more unhappy complainer. So, thanks to Mr. Neathery for his wonderful story and also to the fans, who seem to be a good bunch of people.

    Cat and mouse??? Oh, Aaron…you devil!

    Maybe she’s upset ‘cause he’s bleeding. Getting clunked on the back of the head can do that. Most scalp wounds look much worse than they are. And they bleed like they’re nobody’s business.

    Alligator, cat, and mouse… This is going to be an interesting love triangle.

    Arron, you are a master at ambiguity! I love how you keep me guessing, and eagerly awaiting a resolution. Is it because Wally has been assaulted, or is something else happening to Wally, some transformation? We gotta wait to see..eagerly await! thats why in part I keep this strip so close to my heart. Thank you Arron!

    @Rocky: Endtown readers are a pretty incredible lot.. Don’t ever think I’m unappreciative of the comments here. I’ve been surprised time and again not only by the civility (which seems pretty rare online) but by the insight of my readers. It’s led me to take far more risks in my storytelling than I would have otherwise.

    @Noreen: Time will tell.. ;-)

    @Hroar: Thank you! I’ll keep the ambiguity coming.. :-)
