Awww Holly is such a sweetheart. I hope Wally’s smart enough (or at least considerate enough) not to put Holly in unnecessary danger if she does help him go topside.Or maybe, during the duration of his recovery time at the hospital, he’ll realize what an awesome catch she is and stay in Endtown for her. Doubtful, but time will tell. ;)
@SDS: Storylines thrive on conflict. Sooner or later *some*one will have to go topside. This is a great set-up of characters for just that. Of course, things have to play themselves out—even in the mind of the author. That’s what makes writing/creation so addictive!
I hate to say this, but Aaron, could you pick which way her ears rest? panel 2 and 3 they face in, 1 and 4 they face out. I love your expressive style, but some things I feel I need to point out. Forgive me.
Cats’ ears turn & fold depending on mood or interest, not sure about mice. In 1&4 she’s relieved, they’re relaxed. In 2&3 she’s concerned, they’re down. You try drawing expressive features on a mouse.
Way to go, Holly! Maybe Wally’s job will be a topside explorer, when they need one. Meanwhile, he can learn to appreciate Holly. I hope he sticks around with her for a long while. Cat and mouse—-how cute is that?
I love the range of emotions their postures and facial expressions display-cat in panel 1 is so angst-ridden and Holly’s stance is #2 is the picture of loving exasperation!
