I was hoping whoever the guy was, talking to him was going to provide some much needed exposition either spoken or implied.

Maybe it’s Talk Like A Pirate Day, and he’s too cheap to buy a plank.Or, a demonstration of the power of ditto illusion.Or Aaron Neathery on drugs.

Funny. He wasn’t dressed for swimming.

Either the dittos are going to mess them up, ship is big enought for another panel underneath the deck or the person was replaced by the little group. Even so I think Aaron might come up with something else… he always let it take time… but what story would it be if it wasn’t?

The last time Wally and Holly saw someone jumping from a railing, he was trying to drown himself in a canal….

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s….???? IF it is a person, 2 to 1 he’s got wings.

The second item is a sextant, I’m sure. There’s nothing like a little Ditto Drama Theater to keep the guests entertained.

It looks like Wall-E on the top deck in panel one.

Look carefully at panel one. The stays (ropes) and the telescope legs are visible through the rail but nothing shows to the left of the telescope. That object is mounted ON the rail. I vote for a navigation aid like an octant.

And now that we can see the feet, he’s clearly wearing shoes. Doesn’t mean he’s not a mutant; Holly wears ‘em, too. But I agree he’s just toppling forward. Maybe Baslim is right, and they are on the ground. It can’t be easy to fall, without inadvertently waving your arms!

The coat could be a wing suit (in the everyday world) or, since this is Aaron’s world, this is a bird mutant with real wings!

Whoever or whatever it is, it didn’t go overthe side. The angle seems to indicate the line from the door to the “individual” heads toward the ships prow. . .a lower deck? I don’t believe we have a “man overboard” situation here.

I go for a Ditto illusion.And Neathery with a high fever.

That is a quadrant which is a simple form of sextant. Quadrant, sextant, octant all have the same basic functions, each successive device adds more features—hence the prefix change. An octant is used for flying calculations since it adds altitude information.

Different directions cause there’s nothing there?

I think there’s a magic carpet. Or a flying Delorean.

Curiouser and curiouser, as Alice in Wonderland would say. The expressions on Wally’s and Holly’s faces in panel 4 shows their utter bafflement at the stranger’s antics. They saw him step off the rail, but what happened remains to be seen in tomorrow’s strip. Nice mid week cliff hanger!

Does he not look like he/she is wearing a mask?

So he rescues them from certain death, only to have them withness him falling to certain death.Makes perfect sense to me… (yeah, right!)

Planking: You’re doing it wrong.I’ll betcha this is some sort of illusion, the cargo ship shown below decks is way too big for the schooner shown here – Unless it’s stolen TARDIS Tech…

Either a mask or he/she is bald. The wind is whipping the coat and scarf and not hair.

One nice artistic detail I noticed, the cloud motion continuity between yesterday’s, panel 4 and today’s panels 2 and 3 is spot on. I love Aaron’s attention to even the tiny details.

Holly is looking down….the direction of the jumper and she doesn’t look too distressed. Wally sees something different off to the side and probably unrelated to the jumper, but coming at the airship…. Wally is not looking where the jumper jumped to.

Neathery’s attention to detail is just too darn perfect.

On Top Webcomics, Endtown has 1,165 votes and is #89!Shortly, the votes will reset to zero for the month of March. Now that we voters have built up a head of steam, lets see how far we can get it this time

Judging by the plank direction (I don’t believe Aaron would get it wrong) the mysterious stranger jumped over the fantail of the boat and our heroes are now looking over the aft rail.

or he simply jumped down to the main deck, and what Wally and Holly are surprised at is something that is on this deck.

I liked reading all the comments. I also read Lost side of suburbia and Girl Genius. ZThe whole boat seems either bigger inside than outside or something. I sure don’t know whats going on.

Anybody notice that Endtown 2.0 is ending Feb at #89 on TWC. Awesome.

I checked back the whole two weeks since the ship appeared and see nothing to indicate that our heroes came up from the stern. In fact there are no indicators at all of direction when they are inside.I will stick to them being on the fantail at the stern.

Hmm. I am almost certain it’s the man from the previous storyline… but why this here and now…?

I have come to the conclusion that it is the Pixars?Why not, they imitated all the rest of the heros ( and other)quite well. It is ajoke!! Not??Blessed BE
