Hold on here……..I never seriously imagined that he’d return or if he did, he’d bring along some of his mutant friends and beat me to death. Is this a joke? Doesn’t sound like a love affair to me. I am willing to take the risk. PHEW. …. This is getting scary Blessed Be.

So it seems like she stayed with the Topsiders after letting Petey2b escape, at least until they met again. Knowing how this inevitably ends with Head-in-a-can!Petey and Crazy!Flask makes this moment in her back story bitter sweet.

A topsider and a human who is immune to the virus, what a love affair! Can’t wait to see how this turns out!

Announcing the latest Endtown Auction Block auction! You may have noticed that Aaron hasn’t been so visible lately – that’s because he’s busy getting ready for the Baltimore Comic Con this weekend. So, he’s asked me to prep this week’s auction. We’ve got two great offerings this time (I know, they’re always great; well, these are two of the greater ones) – a dapper-looking Mallard, and Sparkplug Sanders facing the onslaught of WW III. Please be generous – your bids help keep Endtown running.

He returned, it seems, to a place in Zone NineWith Blackie still suited and not yet felineShe guessed that he’d never show up, or he mightBring friends just to kill her. She overcame frightBecause she had worked out that deep down insideThis “nor-really-human freak” had really triedTo see past her suit, and that horrible placeThey could not even touch — he could not see her faceBut still there was love, of a desperate kindSo far consummation was just mind-to-mindBut poor Philomena and Petey-to-beShared something. And changed her whole life, as we see.We know of what’s coming — we’re feeling the dreadHe’ll soon be a Personnel Transporter headAnd she will become everything that she fearsBy dint of a leak in the cups at her ears…=|====/ Level HeadVote for Endtown 2.0And for Doc Rat, tooThe Endtown ForumThe Endtown AuctionThe Endtown BooksCharter member ofthe Consortium to get Aaron a Tablet

Someone might have noticed Flask sneaking off for her rendezvouses and caught them together. And she would blame herself for his fate.

Looks like sapphire dragon nailed it yesterday. Both were starved for the human contact we get every day. Flask was desperate enough to contemplate suicide. I suspect “Bittersweet” radically understates how badly things will go.

I agree with rickD. I have a bad feeling abou how the non virus people are treated. It was something Flask said some time ago. Parts only a butcher would recognize as the fate of non virus humans. Does Solient Green ring a bell. It would an acceptable choice to them given their overwhelming fear of the virus. They could not trust anything except what they could test as nonvirus. Remember Hank in Vol 1. He got scanned. A patch showed up. Instant death. Why else wear the biosuit inside the domes.

“Flask’s salvation from her depression is depressing, because we know how it ends.”That’s what makes great opera! We’ve got the script writer right here, and Level Head has been providing lyrics for us all along. SapphireDragon can bring this to life. All we’re missing is a producer and someone to set the words to (non-copyrighted) music.

Petey really was incredible, to be able to fall in love with a topsider.Just as incredible for a Topsider to fall in love with a mutant!.Not really so much more incredible than having a mutant put his life on the line to save an outpost full of topsiders, some of whom had personally tried to take that life just a short time before.

If this is indeed Flask’s swan song, it’s turning out to have been well worth the wait.;-)

Endtown needs votes. So does Doc Rat. Go up to the links surfstuff55 has provided and help get our favorite strips back in the top ten. Endtown and Doc Rat were #s 1 and 2 on the first of the month. Thanks to SapphireDragonStudios for that screen capture over the weekend. This weekend is Baltimore ComicCon and Aaron will be there. It would be great if we could return Endtown 2.0 and Doc Rat to their proper positions as the two best on TopWebComics. It might help him market the strips, but of course, dollars spent at Amazon, Jarlidium, Cafe Press and Auctions are also very powerful marketing tools. We can do it, WE’VE JUST GOT TO BELIEVE, and follow through with voting and proselytizing.
