Walt: “Why do I always have to do this to get service?”Office on Duty: “Bell don’t work no more.”Walt: “The old, grey mare, she ain’t what she used to be.”OoD: “I hate that song.”
I like it. the reflexion is nice. I bet he will have something to say, he may not know much but it will be a start! At least we know he and probably the others are alive!
Looks like Walter is really growing a pair. Maybe now we can see what happened with police presence. More than likely, they were given orders from the HC to stand down. Or even from Security ….could they do that?
I want to comment about the comic, but now I want a gritty cop drama based in Endtown. I’m sure there are plenty of mutants who are just 2 days from retirement, and the mayor wants your badges, blah blah, cop drama, lucky punk….
That is the most hilarious thing I have every seen. Well done author, well done.Obviously they have been ordered to stand down.Of course I can comment that this looks like the locals I have dealt with in my past. One town I worked in had a red light on top of the Courthouse. Whenever it was own the deputy was suppose to report to the jail to see what was going on.
And by the by I would wager he is not the Chief. Those in that position are usually called the Desk or Duty Officer. Thinks of NYC cops, Chicago Cops, you go to a precinct to report something or go to get processed after your arrest. This is the officer who takes your report and forwards it to the beat officers or detectives. Endtown probably only needs one to do this. So what are we looking at Hill Street Blues, Dragnet or Car 54 where are YOU? Right now Car 54.
“So what are we looking at Hill Street Blues, Dragnet or Car 54 where are YOU? Right now Car 54.”-And sure as heck not Adam 12 (1968-1975).Definitely Car 54, Where Are You?
Of course the worst case scenario is Officer Barney Fife shows up. I worked with a partner for 5 years nicknamed Officer Fife. It was true, he was a walking disaster with a hand gun. Went to draw it one time and pulled the trigger before he got the gun out of its holster. Round hit the concrete between me and him. Had to go to the hospital to remove the bullet frags. He was the only person who when he drew his gun all the POLICE took cover.May seem funny but he was a real person.

Past references to Security and the Police.Doc wants to call Security to find Wally, not the police.
Thief is afraid the hostel clerk will call Security, not the police.

As mayor… Walt can pick his police chief… and he can pick his nose… but I am pretty sure he can’t pick his police chief’s nose

Last time I saw a phone like that in a police station, it was in a Keystone Kops silent film…I hope these cops are just a little better than those…

I’m thinking if this is an indication of how the police have been operating recently, the rats might have had adequate reason to take over.
BTW, this is a nice side of Walt we’re seeing now.
