does jj have access to an endless supply of cigarettes? it strikes me that, unless someone’s going out to refill his supply, as much as he smokes, he should’ve run out of them a couple of days ago…
I like the drawing of the cat (?) in the babushka. Mr. Neathery has a way of drawing these background figures that makes them look like they have their own stories to tell…
@Gildedtongue: Logan Sackett has it, a trouper is a member of a theatrical troupe ( a group of acrobats (abrocats?) is a troupe, also)The show must go on……..regardless
Well we now know this much. The High Council will not censor testimony or they would have shut down Jacob for even saying they were captives and having no contact with Endtown. Then Jacob confirmed the instructions from the High Council were to carry on.This is really going to be interesting when Linda enters stage left. Jacob is right. It is a show and the star is about to enter the spotlight. Now if she breaks into a rendition of “Memories” from Cats. I am going to have a cow.
Noticed what Veteran did regarding lack of censorship. The alternating P.O.V. between panels shows that Endtowners are seeing what we see in the courtroom. I think this is bad. It says the HC isn’t bothering to hide anything—in fact the opposite. I think Allgood is going to use Linda to seal his argument— and there could be a televised execution immediately. No sir…I don’t like it.
I question is what is it that they won? They seem to want our 3 gals dead, but why? I would have to be because they are after Linda, the others are just collateral damage. But why would they feel threatened by Linda? I guess it would have to depend on who They are. If they are topsiders, maybe they think she will blow their weaknesses. If her dream was real, it could be militant and paranoid End towners? Or who else could they be? I know surviver’s from other towns who don’t like End town, but I haven’t or didn’t see anywhere that it showed others asking for help and being turned away.Could Aaron Marks be involved in some way?the way the HC talked back sounded like him, or the way he expressed himself.
“Trooper” is a horse-mounted soldier, but a “trouper” is an actor. Not the same thing at all, but if it’s a mistake, you couldn’t have made a more appropriate mistake.

He could refuse to carry on without an explanation…but that would just let Allgood make a one-sided prosecution…

Allgood’s finally decided to give up on using the head bandage…

@firedomIt’s like Hollywood, where the Hero shoots 30 bullets of a desert eagle, with a capacity of 7 bullets…Reality has to give way to the drama.

If Jacob were to recycle his food, would he be charged with both providing and consuming mutant products?

A trouper is a veteran actor, especially that has been with one company a long time.

It could be that the high council ordered Jacobs words to be beeped out but that the rats who are controlling the equipment didn’t obey.

It could be that the rats were ordered to make certain that Jake had a supply of cigarettes in order to not interrupt the trial.

I guess the media is being held hostage.
