This is sad, she will miss him. He may never know what happened, only guess at it. She really should have left him a note.

Whenever you drop out of someone’s life it can hurt. It hurts so much. the ones who leave don’t realize how much they will be missed. They are too busy getting on with going on.

To those who think Endtown is about to self-destruct, remember that Marx said Jake would be the leader Endtown “needs”.

My first impulse was to interpret that as “you’ll show the Endtowners just how divisive, corrosive and all-around rotten the system of factional voting is, so that they’ll appreciate the old High Council system and go back to it in the end”.

The reason Jake is so dangerous isn’t because he’s evil; it’s because he believes so totally that he’s right.

Beautiful use of the zipper for framing in the last two panels.I wonder how much we are going to be kept up to date on what is going on in Endtown while we are following the adventures of Wally and Holly? (Or vice versa if the focus stays on Endtown.)

Veteran,I’ve been hoping for a swimsuit calender myself, one focusing on all of the strip’s couples including Holly and Wally, Al and Gustine, Walter and Dottie, Marx and Flask, Petey and his beloved and hopefully Linda and Maude (not exactly a romantic couple but a couple of good friends). Hmmm…maybe Maude and Sam (either before death or in ghostly/angelic form). The original artwork could be sold on the Endtown Auction Block.Always easy to make work suggestions when you’re not the one who has to do the work.

Remember that Marx said he would see Jacob again. I believe Jacob is only a pawn in Marx’s game – just as he used others…
